“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. Because he has the best for you, he will give you what is according to his will. He hears it all-your deep cries and the longings of your heart. God hears your prayers and values them because he loves you. Do not be afraid do not be discouraged.” (Deuteronomy 31:8, NIV) “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you he will never leave you nor forsake you. He has a plan and has gone before you to make a way. He is with you in the good, the pain, and the heartbreaking tumultuous times when your circumstances make you feel like nothing will ever change. When someone is wanting to harm you, or you are in trouble, seek him and he promises to be there for you to rescue you. He takes them away from the sinful, and saves them, because they go to Him for a safe place.” (Psalm 37:40, NLV) “The Lord helps them and takes them out of trouble. God is here for you-as his child he will rescue you. The promise of eternity, in relationship with him, is the greatest gift we can ever have. You will not perish in this life by walking in sin anymore (because sin equals death) if you choose him. This promise is multi-faceted-for today and for eternity-to live with him in freedom. Through this covenant you have with him as his child, you can walk in freedom from sin if you choose to rely on him and ask his Holy Spirit to help you. He said he would rescue us and he kept his promise. It’s a free gift when you give him your life, making him Lord and Savior over your life and in your heart. This promise of eternal life is not something you strive for or earn by doing good things. He gave his only son, Jesus, to die on the cross for you so that you can have eternal life. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, NIV) I believe that God’s greatest promise to you lies in his greatest sacrifice for you: to show you how much he loves you. “… in the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time,” (Titus 1:2, NIV) You never have to question “does God keep his promises?” because he does.
